Meet the Service Team

Service Unit Manager

Responsible for managing the service team members and troop leaders and providing support where needed.  The Service Unit Manager is responsible for conducting the service unit meetings and ensuring the delivery of the Girl Scout program.  Contact the Service Unit Manager with any questions not covered by a specific Service Team member listed below, if you are not sure where to direct your question, or the position is open.

Laurie Merz

Service Unit Registrar

Manages the registration process in accordance with Girl Scouts of Western Ohio procedures and deadlines for all girl and adult members within the service unit, including troops, groups, and individual members.  Contact the Service Unit Registrar with questions regarding registration or to get registration forms.

Kim Goedde

Service Unit Cookie Consultant

Provides the leadership and management of the annual cookie sale within the service unit to ensure all girls in the service unit have an opportunity to grow as a result of participating in the sale.  Contact the Service Unit Cookie Consultant with questions regarding the cookie sale and to get any cookie sale-related materials.

Lisa Hackman

Family Partnership Chair

Provides training and support to Troop Family Partnership chairs and works cooperatively with Troop Family Partnership chairs, parents and paid staff to meet Family Partnership goals.  Contact the Family Partnership Chair to request materials for the campaign.

Service Unit Webmaster

Responsible for maintaining and updating the service unit website.  Contact the Service Unit Webmaster with any updates or corrections to be posted to the service unit website.

Laurie Merz

Training Consultant

Ensures leaders are equipped to deliver the Girl Scout program by assisting them in completing required training within six months; checks leaders’ understanding of the Girl Scout Program and supports and coordinates recognition of volunteers in the service unit.  Contact the Training Consultant for information about training courses, to get a home study, and to update your training records when you have completed a new training.

New Leader Consultant

Supports and assists new Girl Scout leaders in the application, approval, and appointment process and provides information on available support systems for planning and carrying out an effective Girl Scout program.  Contact the New Leader Consultant if you have any questions about getting started with your troop.

Program Consultant

Supports and assists Girl Scout volunteers, particularly leaders, in planning and carrying out an effective Girl Scout program.  Contact the Program Consultant for your age level when you have questions regarding meeting ideas, crafts, field trips, badges, etc.

Membership Recruiter

Organizes, maintains, and extends membership within the service unit by recruiting girls and adults, organizing troops, and placing adults.  Contact your Membership Recruiter when you want to add a new girl to your troop or your troop needs new leadership.

Parish Coordinator

Manages the activities of the Girl Scouts of the parish of which they are members.  Contact your Parish Coordinator with questions regarding parish-specific Girl Scout activities such as the Father/Daughter or Mother/Daughter events.

Librarian

Maintains a library of reference materials for the service unit.
